Happy New Year
Mrs. Patty was one of our favorite nurses.
The beginning of January 2008 was spent in the pediatric ward of ENMMC. The baby of our family had an unexpected appendectomy. We finally experienced what so many other families have dealt with... a sick, hurting child. The fear in your heart is overwhelming and then he smiles and you know everything will be okay. We are so thankful for the tremendous support that our friends and family showered us with. Darin didn't have much of a Christmas due to his illness although when he left the hospital his bags were brimming with new toys. This experience has touched our hearts like no other; we definitely cherish one another and are so thankful for our health. The start of 2008 was tough but we have 11 more months of blessings to come.
